🛒 Ingredients

For the churros:

  • 1 cup water

  • 2 tbsp sugar

  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil (plus more for frying)

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

  • 1/4 tsp salt

  • Sugar & cinnamon for coating

For the chocolate sauce:

  • 100g dark chocolate

  • 1 cup milk

  • 1 tsp cornstarch

  • 1 tbsp sugar (optional)


👨‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Make the dough:
    In a saucepan, bring water, sugar, oil, and salt to a boil. Remove from heat, stir in flour until dough forms.

  2. Pipe and fry:
    Let cool slightly. Fill a piping bag with star tip. Heat oil to 180°C (350°F). Pipe strips of dough into oil. Fry until golden. Drain on paper towels.

  3. Coat:
    Roll warm churros in a mix of sugar and cinnamon.

  4. Make chocolate sauce:
    Heat milk, chocolate, sugar, and cornstarch until thickened and smooth. Serve warm with churros.
